We all know how big of a decision it can be to have enough courage to start a keto lifestyle. Patience and consistency play a huge role in a successful keto diet, and that’s what Ed had! In a little over 2 years, he has lost over 100 pounds and has transformed! Now, he’s opening up about his keto success story.
We got the chance to learn about Ed’s journey and his struggles and tips he has for the Hip2Keto community!
Here’s Ed’s story:
How long have you been keto?
I’ve been doing keto for about 2 and a half years now. So far, I’ve lost over 117 pounds, and I haven’t looked back since starting!
What about the keto diet makes it easy to incorporate into your lifestyle?
You can do simple meals or be creative. I drive for a living so a lot of time, simple is great! Some of my favorite easy meals are making keto wraps. On weekends, I’ll smoke or cook a roast of some sort and slice it up to stuff inside or I will make cucumber salad with a wrap.
Also, I’m a huge fan of ALDI’s keto snack bars and I will take one of those and celery for a snack.
Any struggles so far on your keto journey?
Once you get started, there are very few struggles (well, at least for me). I personally didn’t experience any difficulty getting started on keto, which made sticking with it for over 2 years now pretty easy.

What has been your biggest success?
Adding a simple 16/8 intermittent fasting plan has helped tremendously! I usually stick to the same schedule every day, but once in a while, I’ll do OMAD (one meal a day). Getting into a routine takes out a lot of guesswork.

Favorite keto recipe or keto-friendly product?
I do mostly grilled foods, but I do like a creamy mushroom chicken or cube steak! I also search around for dessert recipes too so I can enjoy something sweet but still stay on track with my keto lifestyle.
Any tips for other keto dieters?
My advice: Don’t get discouraged with weights’ ups and downs, and stick with it! If I can do it, anyone can!!
