Keto Air Fryer Pickles are Crunchy, Salty, & Snackable!
This low-carb snack is a big dill!😋
These air fryer keto fried pickles are LEGIT! They are SO CRUNCHY, satisfying, and simple to whip up using the air fryer. Wonder which secret ingredient makes them crunch? Pork rind crumbs! This is a smart low-carb hack that makes “breading” these pickles totally keto compliant.
Make a batch for a savory late-night snack, I bet ya can’t eat just one.
Top tips when making air fryer keto fried pickles:
- To get these pickles super crispy, spray them before cooking with a little oil using an oil mister. You could also use avocado oil spray if you don’t have a mister on hand.
- You can try this idea using classic-style pork rinds, but try the spicy pork rinds for a kick of added flavor! That’s what I used and loved the result. If you’re like me and want to save time, grab a jar of Pork King Good Pork Rind Crumbs! They work so well in this recipe.
- If you’re thinking of adding a dipping sauce, try them with our homemade keto ranch dressing. YUMMO!
- Want to make clean up a little easier? I LOVE using these Katbite heavy-duty perforated parchment paper squares in my air fryer. These parchment squares start at just under $5 for 120 sheets. *Note – be sure to only use these squares during the cooking process when food is on top of them. Do not use them while preheating your air fryer (if your model requires preheating).

These were so wonderful!! Air Fryer Magic!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
YUM. Now I have a reason to get an air fryer 🙂
Yay! 😀
Just made these so good
Woohoo! Glad to hear how yummy they turned out!
We just made two batches of these wonderful pickles!!! My husband doesn’t even know that they are actually healthy for him. They are extremely good. Need to come up with a keto friendly horseradish dip for them!
Yay! Great news-thanks for sharing!
What do you use to grease the air fryer with?
I like to use coconut oil or olive oil in a hand held sprayer.
These look really yummy but I’m wondering about the quantity. Even with the XL models, it doesn’t seem like you can make that much of anything at a given time. Is it normal to have to make several batches when feeding a family of 5?
Yes, You will need to do a few batches when making multiple servings. You could heat your oven to 225-degrees to keep them warm as you cook the additional batches! Hoping that helps!
my air fryer is glass , picture a large bowl with two racks and the top has the heating element on it. i can cook huge amounts of food in it and I can watch it cook. i bought mine at Aldi 39.99 and i love it.
So so yummy! And easy to make🙌🙌 I used hot pickles from Trader Joe’s and a spray coconut oil.
Thanks for sharing, I’m so happy!
Oh yay and that sounds delicious 😋
Such a good idea! Anyone have any ideas for making this dairy-free?
I would just replace the parm cheese by using more rinds!
Just don’t add Parmesan
Would these work in a deep fryer?
Yes I believe so! Let us know how it works!
Do you think pressures dill pickles would work? They’re about 1/4 inch. Thank you they look yummy😊
Ya I think those sound good 👍
Can the almond flour be substituted with either regular or coconut flour? Would Panko breadcrumbs work in place of pork rinds? Thanks!
Panko wouldn’t be considered Keto like pork rinds. You can try almond flour – I think it’d be similar 👍
I dont have an air fryer.. could you do these in an oven?
Yes! I bet you could bake them in the oven on a baking sheet. Let us know how they turn out if you decide to give it a try!
What air fryer do you all like? Looking for something that is easy to clean after use also. Thanks for your input.
Hi Linda! Lina lists her favorite Air Fryer in this post –> https://hip2keto.com/tips/air-fryers-keto-diet/
Hope that helps!
I followed the recipe exactly. These were excellent. I sliced my own pickles though and they were probably twice as thick as those in the picture. They also took longer to get crispy. Really great.
Hi Pam! I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed them❤ Thank you for the feedback! I do think cooking times can vary slightly due to different Air Fryers. It took a tad bit longer for me too!
Those look so good!
Hope you enjoy them, Lisa!
is there a substitution for almond flour?
You could use coconut flour, but you’d only use about 2 Tablespoons as it soaks up a lot more moisture. Let us know how it turns out for you!
I haven’t made these yet, I was looking for recipe for my daughter. I did want to say THANK You for a blog/ site that doesn’t have 5 million pop ups, ads and a 20 mins story before the recipe! Can’t wait to try them!
HAHA YES!! Thank you! We like to get right to the point 🙂 Hope you’ll join us for more yummy recipes!
These look so good, now I might actually use my air fryer
Awesome! Let us know how they turn out if you decide to try them!
Can’t wait to try. What can be substituted for pork rind?
You can just use all almond flour although they won’t be as crunchy.
