Hey, Hot Dog Fans! Try These 3 Easy Keto Hacks Using Storebought Relish
Wondering how to make relish without a ton of extra work? These easy relish recipes take these storebought jars from simple to snazzy!
Hot dogs get a bad rap. Sure, there are some really gross varieties and brands out there, but a high-quality, all-beef frank is definitely a star at summer BBQs and cookouts. Let your favorite low-carb hot dogs shine even brighter by learning how to make relish with these delicious 5-minute semi-homemade hacks!
Hip tips for how to make store-bought relish taste snazzy:
- I love grilling up jumbo-size beef franks and substituting the hot dog for the bun. Simply cut a slit down the length of the dog (about 3/4 of the depth). Once grilled, load the cut with your fav toppings… relish, no-added-sugar ketchup, mustard, chili, cheese, onions—The possibilities are limitless!
- For the Sweet and Spicy Relish recipe, the Giuliano Hot & Spicy Jalapeno Spread adds wonderful color and flavor. However, you can substitute it with diced, jarred jalapenos.
- Use 8 oz. Quilted Crystal Jelly Jars to store your relish. They fit each batch of relish perfectly, are affordable, and look super cute!
- Were you recently invited to a BBQ? Prepare all three varieties of relish to give as a thoughtful gift set to the host.
- For a quick and easy keto tartar sauce recipe: Mix equal portions of mayonnaise and Garlic Lover’s Relish (recipe below). Season to taste with sea salt and freshly ground pepper.

I have a question . . . How can your relish recipes be considered keto when they contain a prepared relish which has sugar in it?
Hi there! The Vlasic dill relish does not contain sugar. Be sure to use the dill variety or your favorite no sugar added relish. Hope this helps!
