The secret to getting that addicting Starbucks pumpkin spice latte taste and texture is the Torani Sugar-Free Pumpkin Pie syrup. Combined with a strong brewed coffee or espresso, this adds a nice pumpkin spice flavor. I only used a teaspoon because I prefer for it not to be super strong, but feel free to adapt your amount to taste.
That said, it’s not the cleanest keto product and is actually kind of difficult to track down to buy at the moment, so another great keto-friendly syrup to consider trying is NuNaturals Stevia sweetened Pumpkin Pie syrup. My Hip sidekick Jenna tried out the recipe with this clean keto syrup and had awesome results!
Tips for making the BEST keto pumpkin spice latte:
- You can use a milk frother if you have one handy. I instead used an immersion hand blender to blend the heavy cream until frothy, and it worked out great! I’m sure an actual blender would work well, too.
- I used a 1/2 teaspoon of Swerve sweetener which can be swapped to the sweetener of your choice as well as your preferred amount.
- To make an iced keto pumpkin spice latte recipe, freeze coffee in an ice cube tray and add to your drink!
- For a next-level latte, sprinkle a little pumpkin pie spice on the top (or even some cinnamon and nutmeg), and you’ll agree this latte is very tasty and looks festive as well!

How did you get the total carb count? I grabbed the NuNaturals Pumpkin syrup, and when I plugged it into My Fitness Pal – it gave me 9 carbs for 1 tbsp. Thanks ๐ I only took a quick sip and gave the rest to my daughter – it was SO yummy. But not 10 total carbs yummy.
Hi Lisa! Sorry for any confusion. It looks like My Fitness Pal may have this listed incorrectly as the nutrition label shows less than 1g total carb per serving. Hope this helps!
Hi. Do you froth your cream prior to adding coffee, or all at once?
Hi Kelley! You could try it either way. Whichever you like best!
Do you have a recipe for a hot pumpkin Tea drink?
Hi Marsha! We don’t have that, however I’ll be sure to pass your request along to the team! Sounds yummy! ๐
Here are couple things you could do –
-Replace the coffee with preferred tea (likely chai or black tea) in the recipe above.
-We also have a Chai Tea Latte recipe you could try https://hip2keto.com/recipes/keto-starbucks-chai-tea-latte/
For a more natural pumpkin flavor, you could also make the pumpkin cream from this post (https://hip2keto.com/recipes/pumpkin-cream-cold-brew-keto/) and add to chai tea or another tea of choice.
Hope this is helpful! ๐ค
