The basics of ordering In-N-Out keto style:

  • Avoid buns, bread, milkshakes, and French fries.
  • When in doubt, leave dipping sauces and condiments out.
  • For drinks, stick with water, unsweetened iced tea, Coke Zero, or Diet Coke products.

Please note that some condiments at In-N-Out may be considered dirty keto by some, so enjoy based on what works best for your low-carb lifestyle.

Low Carb In N Out Orders

While we love to have exact macros for our keto dining guides, the restaurant makes it a little tricky. The figures for all their burgers in both their In-N-Out Nutrition Facts Guide and online nutrition menu include their special spread sauce, or ketchup and mustard, in the total amounts. So, it’s a little hard to get accurate In N Out nutrition facts and breakdown for you.

Just to be sure, skip the bun, ketchup, and the spread as mentioned above and you’ll be keeping your In n Out keto with a super low carb lunch or dinner!

Here’s how to order keto at In-N-Out:

“I’ll have the Double Double Protein Style with no spread, add tomatoes, mustard, pickles, and onions.”

The Double-Double is one of In-N-Out’s most popular burgers and you can keep it low carb by skipping the spread and asking for it Protein Style. In n Out will make it lettuce-wrapped, and you’ll have a delicious, juicy, keto-friendly burger that will hit the spot.

Like your onions grilled? Go ahead and order your Double Double with grilled onions for more flavor!

If you have some extra carbs you can spare for the day, then treat yourself to Animal Style – which is simply grilled onions combined with their special spread. According to MyFitness Pal, a packet of spread has 2g net carbs. I would suggest asking for a packet instead of ordering it already on the lettuce-wrapped In-n-Out burger, that way you can control the quantity.

The In-N-Out Not So Secret Menu is where it’s at!

“I’ll have the Flying Dutchman with tomatoes, mustard, pickles, and onions.”

In-N-Out’s burgers are pretty much the best ever, and trust me you won’t even miss the bun! What we like about the Dutchman is that it’s simply just two beef patties on the outside that act as the “bun”, with the cheese on the inside. Top with tomatoes, mustard pickles, and onions if you like, and you pretty much have the most perfect keto burger ever. YUMMY!

How will you order your In-N-Out keto burger?

Be sure to ask for your burger to be served Protein Style with no spread, and no ketchup, and feel free to add onions, tomatoes, pickles, and mustard if you like. Some locations even have peppers you can add to your order if you ask for them!

You really can’t go wrong with any burger at In-N-Out, but what we like about the Flying Dutchman is that it’s just two meat patties on the outside that act as the “bun”, with the cheese on the inside. We added lettuce, tomato, and onion (no additional charge) so this burger – with all the same components as a Double-Double – costs quite a bit less than both the Quad Quad and 2 Double-Doubles. Now that’s what I call a budget-friendly keto In-N-Out meal deal!
