What Should I Order at Five Guys Burgers & Fries? Keto Dining Guide
Gimme Five, Guys!
Five Guys Burgers & Fries offers a pretty helpful nutrition dining guide, but it helps even more to have a little keto help from someone who’s been where you are when you’re wondering what to order. Their website and nutritional guides are truly things of beauty: clean, simple, and easy to use. I wish more restaurants offered such a seamless experience for customers.
The basics of successful Five Guys ordering:
- Avoid buns, bread, milkshakes, and french fries.
- When in doubt, leave dipping sauces and condiments out.
- For drinks, stick with water, unsweetened iced tea, or Diet Coke products.
- If the menu says “sugar-free”, check the nutrition guide anyway.
- Download the free app to order ahead and skip the line: iPhone or Android
Here’s how to order keto at my fave place for burger bliss:
Lunch & Dinner
“I’ll have Five Guys No Bun Bowl Burger with cheese, bacon, mayo, and jalapenos.”
Their burgers are pretty much EVERYTHING…meaning you can also load them up with–you guessed it–everything:

- Bacon (2 slices): 80 calories | 7g fat | 0g carbs | 4g protein

Burger and Hot Dog Toppings
“…And to that burger (or dog), can you add…”

Hot Dog
“I’ll have a Bunless Hot Dog (in a tin). Add onions, relish, cheese, bacon, and mustard.”
Not in the mood for a burger? Try this instead! The thing I love about their hot dogs is Five Guys splits them down the center, so all the toppings stay put inside instead of sliding off to the side. This is pretty much my favorite! Tip: Add mushrooms, onions, green peppers, and jalapenos. You won’t regret it.
- Hot Dog: 240 calories | 20g fat | 2g carbs | 11g protein
- Bacon (2 slices): 80 calories | 7g fat | 0g carbs | 4g protein
- Relish: 16 calories | 0g fat | 4g carbs | 0g protein
- Cheese: 70 calories | 6g fat | 1g carbs | 4g protein
- Mustard: 0 calories | 0g fat | 0g carbs | 0g protein
Sides
Instead of French fries, grab a few peanuts.
While Five Guys shares the serving size and the calories, they don’t share the carbohydrates for that serving. I grabbed the MyFitnessPal data for Texas Roadhouse salted, roasted peanuts in the same serving size and calorie amount.
Roasted/Salted Peanuts, 1 oz (30): 160 calories | 0g fat | 7g carbs | 3g fiber | 7g protein
As you can see, with a little due diligence, you can enjoy a meal wherever your adventures take you! Enjoy!
Also, if you want more meat, you can add extra patties ala carte for a fairly decent price.
