Miss Taco Tuesdays? Real Good Foods NEW Keto Tacos are Packed with Flavor!
Real Good Foods does it again with these yummy keto taco shells!
Looking for an easy lunch idea?
Tacos are a worldwide favorite but definitely a no-go for keto with shells typically made with either corn or flour. There are keto-approved tortillas, but the assembly is just not the same. Real Good Foods raised the bar by making a keto taco shell made of solely chicken. 🤯
We’ve seen this technique at fast food hot spots like Taco Bell, and we’ve even recreated the chicken chalupa ourselves. However, if we can skip the meal prep and buy some Real Good Foods Crispy Chicken Tacos from our local grocery store, sign us up!
Real Good Foods have a variety of low-carb entrees. I recently tried their stuffed chicken, so I had high expectations for these taco shells. Each taco is made of real ingredients, hence the brand’s name. 😉
Here are the Real Good stuffed chicken shell tacos I tried…
There are three kinds of crispy chicken shell tacos, and I was able to try two of the three. The Chicken Tacos I didn’t try are an in-store exclusive, so hopefully, they’ll be on the shelves on my next Walmart trip because I want to try them all!

These chicken shell tacos make the best ready-to-go meal!
I used my oven to cook mine, but Real Good Foods shared a pro tip of popping the tacos in the air fryer for maximum crispiness! YUM! If using an air fryer, cook for 8-12 minutes at 350 or 375 degrees, depending on your air fryer. I definitely will give that hack a try next time to make this meal even easier.
They definitely don’t look like typical tacos, however – don’t judge a book by its cover!
The first taco I tried was stuffed with chicken, Cacique Oaxaca & cotija cheese, and avocado tomatillo salsa.
It was the perfect blend of cheese and chicken on each taco. I absolutely loved how each flavorful bite was filled with the perfect crunch, and I can’t get enough of that avocado tomatillo salsa!
The real show-stopper for me were the tacos stuffed with seasoned beef!
Although it’s a simple stuffing, I’ve always preferred tacos filled with beef over chicken. That said, this keto taco featured both since the shell is chicken, making it my favorite combination! I attribute the amazing flavor to how tender the meat was; you wouldn’t believe it was frozen unless I told you.
You can take either taco to the next level by adding a favorite sauce, but even on their own, these tacos are spectacular!
Don’t think that just because these are keto they aren’t the real deal when it comes to tacos. As I mentioned with the first taco I tasted, Real Good Foods actually partnered with Cacique Foods, which is a top brand for the best authentic Hispanic ingredients.
The even more tantalizing tidbit about these tacos? Each taco is gluten-free, grain-free, and has between 2-3g of net carbs. That’s a keto-win to me!

They’re called crispy chicken taco shells for a reason!
Crispy keto tacos have never tasted so good or have been this easy to make! On top of the convenience, the meat stuffed inside really does taste like you’ve been cooking it in a Crock-pot all day. These tacos are definitely worth a try if you want to make lunch and dinner much more simplified.
