We Taste-Tested 10 Different Enlightened Keto Ice Creams… & It Was Hard to Pick a Winner!

It’s no secret that we absolutely LOVE Enlightened Ice Creams here at Hip2Keto! They’re always comin’ in at the top of our ice cream taste tests & they’re just plain delicious no matter if you’re on the keto diet or not.
It’s no small feat to try all the delicious Enlightened keto ice cream flavors… so I enlisted my family and Hip sidekicks to help me complete the task!
Today, the Hip family is tasting all the Enlightened keto ice cream pints we could get our hands on and ranked them from the best all the way to our least favorite – which admittedly, was still pretty good!
1. Butter Pecan is hands down my favorite flavor of all time.
I have to say in general, Butter Pecan is one of my all-time favorite flavors! Stetson and I both agreed that Butter Pecan is one of the best keto ice creams we’ve had from Enlightened, and if we both agree on something, you know it’s legit. 😆It’s so creamy and you’d truly never guess it was keto.

2. Enlightened’s Keto Mint Chocolate Chunk ice cream tastes just like the real deal.
Fall is fast approaching, but for now, we’re still all about this refreshing mint-flavored keto goodness. 😍 We couldn’t get enough of this flavor in the heat, and even though it didn’t finish in 1st place, it does get an honorable mention for being the closest thing to “real” carby ice cream!
Here’s what my Hip sidekick, Brandi, thought about it:
“All the Enlightened ice creams are amazing, but sometimes I can still tell I’m eating ‘keto’ ice cream and not the real deal. Don’t get me wrong, it’s equally as delicious, just different! My newly-keto taste buds still remember what the sugary stuff tastes like. 😂 However, the Mint Chocolate Chunk is the first flavor I tried that I really would not be able to tell from regular old ice cream. It’s pretty much exactly the same!”

3. The Enlightened Triple Chocolate Brownie Dough is a new contender and definitely one of our new found favorites. 😍
Enlightened’s newest flavor, Triple Chocolate Brownie Dough, is one for the chocolate-lovin’ keto peeps like me. 🙌 It’s got chocolate ice cream, chocolate brownie bits, chocolate chips, and a chocolate fudge swirl–you guys get the idea! And if it’s that wonderful time of the month, you just need this stuff in your life. 😆
This flavor was just released, and it’s everything we’ve ever wanted in an ice cream!
We tried this one on a family vacation and it was a huge hit. Right now, it’s available exclusively on EatEnlightened.com, but it’s coming to Whole Foods and Thrive Market this Fall so be sure to keep an eye out to try it yourself in the next few weeks!

4. Enlightened’s Peanut Butter Cookie and Brownie Dough ice cream combines the two best desserts!
We really love peanut butter (and brownies), and this flavor did not disappoint! There’s a delicious PB swirl through the middle that we weren’t expecting and the texture was perfect. 😍 It was certainly a struggle to keep ourselves from “sampling” the entire pint. 😉

Between these first few pints, it was seriously so hard to place some after one another. Who knew ice cream flavor ranking could be so tough?!
Chocolate Peanut Butter is higher up on this list based on that peanut butter swirl they have in the ice cream…Confession, it’s so good that sometimes I even dig the peanut butter out and eat it by itself. 😜

I’m crazy about coffee, but even if you don’t like plain old espresso, you’ve got to give Enlightened’s Coffee Chocolate Chunk keto ice cream your own taste test!
Stetson and I were really lovin’ on those delectable little bits of chocolate spread throughout the ice cream. I wish I could put this higher on the list, but the other flavors were just that good.

7. The Enlightened Keto Caramel Chocolate Double Dough is like three desserts in one. ❤️
This ice cream has so much going on that you get the best of all the dessert worlds. This was actually one Stetson really enjoyed, and if the other varieties weren’t so yummy, this would likely be even higher on the list. That caramel ice cream is just unbelievably delicious.
Like we were saying, Enlightened simply makes the best ice cream period, and the Caramel Chocolate Double Dough flavor checks all my dessert boxes. 🙌

8. Enlightened’s Keto Ice Cream Cake is like a birthday cake in a pint.
Even though this one is near the bottom of our favorites, it’s still pretty good! Stetson and I both agreed that the ice cream was as creamy & dreamy as non-keto ice creams, but the competition is stiff, and there were just some others we tried that really blew us away!

9. You don’t have to miss cake with Enlightened’s Red Velvet Keto Ice Cream!
There’s a serious lack of red velvet-flavored keto sweets in our opinion, so we were so excited to try this new flavor! It’s a light chocolate-flavored ice cream with tasty little bits of cream cheese frosting spread throughout.
My Hip sidekick, Brandi, tested this one out for herself! Here’s what she said about it:
“I’ve never really been a huge fan of sweets, but Red Velvet cake was the one exception. I was pretty bummed about having to give it up when I started keto, but seriously, this ice cream tastes so close to the real deal! I might be a little biased since I always had a soft spot for Red Velvet, but to me, this flavor is #1. ❤️”
While there were some others we agreed on liking more, you can’t leave this one out if you miss having a slice of the classic cake!

10. Who needs a donut shop when you can get Glazed Chocolate Donut ice cream?
Whew! We finally made it to the end of our list! While this one didn’t deliver the full chocolate glazed donut taste we were expecting, those little bits of frosting throughout are so tempting to scoop out and enjoy on their own. Some reviewers claim this tastes like the real deal to them though, so it’s still worth a try!
