Try These Simple Ways To Change Bad Keto Diet Habits into Good Ones
Be the change you wish to see in yourself.
A healthier lifestyle starts with YOU. Why not be your own most influential person? It all starts with breaking bad habits and forming new, positive ones.
Are we going to ask you to overhaul your whole life for keto? Of course not! But these simple actions are easy enough to work into your routine to help “rewire” your brain—and you’ll be keeping yourself on the path to success without even realizing it.
One quick way to get on track is to join our FREE 30-Day Keto Challenge!
1. Change into workout clothes as soon as you wake up.
Or when you get home for that matter. Whenever you aim to start your workout, make getting into your outfit a priority. Once you’re dressed and ready to go, you’ll be less likely to skip it. Live in athleisure wear? Put on your shoes. Having your gear on ahead of time makes this process even easier, as your brain is wired to go exercise.

2. Order groceries online to avoid temptation.
Those grocery aisles are designed to entice you to buy more. Stick to your list by using services such as Instacart, Shipt, or AmazonFresh to order your groceries online and have them delivered. You could also call your local grocer to see if they have online ordering and home delivery services in place. Walmart not only delivers groceries in many areas, but they’ll also bring them right into the kitchen!
3. Prep food before the groceries are put away.
I know, I know—grocery shopping is a bear in itself, but you’re more likely to actually eat all that fresh produce you bought if it’s easily accessible and ready to munch on. So, while your bags are scattered about the kitchen and you’re starting to unpack, keep the products that need to be cleaned or chopped to the side and get that dirty work out of the way.

4. Always, always have water on hand.
Dehydration can be a huge issue when starting out on keto, so drinking water should be a top priority (water also stops false hunger when it’s actually thirst). Here are some easy ways to stay hydrated:
- Invest in a reusable water bottle with a time marker and bring it with you everywhere for easy refilling.
- Set up your fitness watch to remind you to take sips every so often.
- Track your water intake by using an app such as Daily Water or through the water glass section on Carb Manager or by using our printable water tracking sheet.

5. Track your success.
By staying on top of your health improvements, you can more easily identify what works best for you. Use our goal tracking printable page or start a keto journal to document your progress and to make note of what’s contributing to your success. And, hey—coloring and writing are just downright fun!
