I’m sharing some of my favorite quotes & passages from The Carnivore Code. To be honest, I really had a hard time choosing just which ones to include, every page is filled with so much amazing (and often mind-blowing) information! Simple things we’ve always believed about meat and vegetables are actually not often true! 😮

Here are 10 of the best quotes from The Carnivore Code:

“In extreme cases of lean meat consumption, the result may be a condition that is referred to as “rabbit starvation” that results in too much ammonia production. We definitely do not want to construct a carnivore diet out of just lean chicken breast, lean hamburger, or lean steak. This is a recipe for failure.”

“A nose-to-tail carnivore diet has everything the human operating system needs in the most bioavailable form and is free from the plant antigens that promote autoimmunity and inflammation in many people. Over the long term, the nutrient deficiency of a plant-based diet is just not sustainable.”

“There are significant studies that show a correlation between height and nutritional quality. During the advent of the Neolithic Age, adults, on average, were taller than they are now. When height is studied next to nutrition, scientists have found that an increase in animal proteins corresponds to an increase in height. An increase in plants corresponds in a decrease in height.”

“When you look at certain Eskimo tribes, you can see the difference in a plant-based diet and a meat-exclusive diet. The meat-exclusive diet caused a negligible amount of cavities at a higher percentage.”

“The Carnivore Diet is a much more extreme ketogenic diet. When people cut carbohydrates from their diet, it places the body into a state of ketosis. This is why the Carnivore Diet could potentially help individuals improve their athletic performance, lose weight, and improve mental clarity.”

“Myth: Eating too much meat will inhibit ketosis.

Fact: Your body will not convert enough protein into sugar to kick you out of ketosis. The only conversion of protein into blood sugar that will occur is to keep you from going hypoglycemic.”

“The Carnivore Diet comprises of animal nourishments alone and you don’t need to adhere to any guidelines to the extent of nourishment timing, macro breakdowns, or segments.”

“Myth: Red meat causes cancer.

Fact: This is one of the most persistent, and yet ridiculous, myths out there. There are no well-designed studies that show red meat causes cancer.”

“Fat is our primary energy source. While we can derive energy from carbohydrates or even protein, fat does the best job of getting us the power we need.”

“For the vast majority who need to take a stab at eating a diet of just meat; beginning with the 1-month challenge is a decent method to begin.”
