Need a keto reset?

I don’t know about you, but this quarantine has really thrown me off of my keto game. All of the carby snacks have been calling my name and I’ve caved more times than I’d care to admit.

So, with that being said, we’ve decided to start a 5-day Intermittent Fasting Challenge to help get back on track with the keto lifestyle! 🙌

What is Intermittent Fasting?

If you’re new to intermittent fasting, it’s pretty simple to do. Intermittent fasting, also known as IF, is a change in how frequently you eat and when. When periods of fasting are built into eating habits, the body’s ability to burn fat is pumped up through ketosis.

So basically, you only eat during a specific window of time each day, but don’t worry – we’ll explain all of this in the challenge emails!

Are you ready? Let’s take on the Intermittent Fasting challenge together!

For this 5-day challenge, we will start with a shorter intermittent fasting window and work our way up to a 24-hour fast on day five. Each day, you’ll receive an email filled with essential tips to guide you every step of the way.

Link to sign up isn’t working for me. Help please 😉

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh no! Are you able to get the pop up to sign up as you click through the link above? I do find that to work for me. Maybe check again in a different browser and let us know if that doesn’t help!

I’ve been doing intermittent fasting for a long time now. I eat breakfast at 7:00 AM, no lunch and dinner at 8:00 PM!
Breakfast consists of half a cup of plain yogurt with 3-4 strawberries and 16 oz of water with half a lemon squeezed in!
Dinner is a large salad filled with a protein meat, romaine lettuce, spinach, shredded cabbage, mushrooms, half an avocado, yellow or red pepper slices, shredded cheese, a bit of cottage cheese, sliced up berries and 24 oz lemon water! Dessert is a sugar free popsicle it Dr Atkins bar!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for sharing your schedule with us, Margaret!

  5. Donna

I started this in December. Clean fasts. Read the book. NOTHING!

  6. Theresa

Can you put skinny syrup in coffee during fast?

  7. Gene

    Perfect timing. I’m so ready!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Yay! 🙌🤗

  8. Sharon Davidson

What if I already fast daily? I started at 16hrs but not average 20 hrs 7 days a week.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

That’s awesome you’re already so well versed in fasting! We’re hoping this challenge will be helpful for those who are newer to intermittent fasting. Perhaps you could start with your normal fasting schedule and build out shorter eating windows to end at a 24-hour fast on day 5. Can’t wait to I.F. together!

  9. Tonya

Does the 24 hour fast start at the ending time of the previous day?? Example- I stopped at 2pm day 4, is my 24 hour end time 2pm day 5??

    • Angie (Hip2Keto Sidekick)

Hi Tonya. Great question! This is exactly the way you do it. If you stop eating at 8pm your fast will last until 8pm the next day if fasting 24 hours. Hope this helps❤

  10. Jenn

Thanks for doing this! Hubby & I have been doing IF and TRE since reading Jason Fungs book as well as incorporating a “dirty” keto lifestyle (we try so hard to be good, but sometime fail hence “dirty”). So may people feel overwhelmed with fasting so it’s great you are giving guidance! We will join you in this as we too have slipped during quarantine.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh awesome! You’re SO welcome, Jenn! Glad you both will be joining us!

  11. Vehan Scholtz-Sessa

    I’m in!

    • Angie (Hip2Keto Sidekick)

To the keto community: with working at the hospital every weekend there’s a lot of junk, crap that gets “gifted”to the staff as thank you gifts. I have just started the keto regime this week and have found it very hard to stay away from the candy and the junk food while at work, but I’ve managed today… I did do good. It’s very hard when it’s a very fast pace environment, quick is easy. And people are always asking if you want this or that. There’s not much time when you got demanding patient’s.

    • Angie (Hip2Keto Sidekick)

Hi Stephanie! First off, I want to personally thank you from the bottom of my heart❤ Working in the hospital is not easy & especially during times likes these! I would love for you to share this message with our friendly & supportive community❤ I think people have the best intentions but dont realize all the havoc those goodies can wreak on our bodies. I will also share this message with our wonderful staff! Thank you again for all you do💕

  15. Katherine Benton

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Great to hear that! 🙌

  16. Lynnie

A great time of year to again get serious, but doing the IF with all of you makes this challenge much more venturesome and I am looking forward to it.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Yay! Thanks for joining us!
