We’re Trying the New Keto-Friendly Menu Options at El Pollo Loco, Including Cauliflower Rice!

El Pollo Loco is kicking off the new year keto menu options by bringing back its popular Pollo Fit Bowls, two of which are totally keto friendly. There’s also a yummy new side dish on the menu with a low-carb twist – the chain’s all-new Cilantro Lime Cauliflower Rice! 🙌
The new Cilantro Lime Cauliflower Rice is finely chopped “riced” cauliflower heated and seasoned with cilantro and lime. It’s now available at El Pollo Loco restaurants nationwide, giving you a delicious new low-carb option. It can be ordered as a side or added to another meal in place of traditional rice.
“If you like cilantro, you’re really going to love this cauliflower rice. The lime gives it a really fresh, bright flavor too, and I think this would make a perfect keto substitute for anything on the menu that would normally have rice in it. I actually really enjoyed the riced cauliflower as a side dish all by itself.” – Stetson

El Pollo Loco’s new Pollo Fit Bowls are made with double the citrus-marinated fire-grilled chicken, organic super greens, and the new cilantro lime cauliflower rice. Two of the three bowls are keto-friendly, including the Double Protein Avocado Pollo Fit Bowl and the Double Protein Mexican Caesar Pollo Fit Bowl. Pollo Fit Bowls were priced at $7.99 at the location we tried.
The new Double Protein Avocado Pollo Fit Bowl is made with organic super greens and lettuce topped with cilantro lime cauliflower rice and a double portion of chopped fire-grilled chicken breast. It comes with hand-sliced avocado, queso fresco, pico, and Tapatio seasoning, and it will fuel you with a whopping 50 grams of protein!

As for the Double Protein Mexican Caesar Pollo Fit Bowl, it’s made with organic super greens and lettuce topped with a double portion of chopped fire-grilled chicken breast. It also features sliced radishes, hand-sliced avocado, cotija cheese, Tapatio seasoning, a lemon wedge, and your choice of dressing. When ordered without dressing, it contains just 3 grams of net carbs!
Speaking of dressings, El Pollo Loco’s dressings are starting the new year with a makeover too! The chain is removing high-fructose corn syrup from its popular Creamy Cilantro Dressing, and their Citrus Vinaigrette has also been replaced with a new Mexican Vinaigrette, which is Keto Certified and free of high-fructose corn syrup! 🙌
